Description of Service

QuickDef is a Chrome extension that provides instant, learner-friendly English word explanations while reading online content and PDFs. Definitions may be generated using AI and are intended to support learning, not to replace professional or academic references. QuickDef offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription with expanded features.

Acceptable Use

You agree to:

Use QuickDef for personal, educational, or professional reading
Not misuse or attempt to disrupt the Service
Not reverse-engineer, resell, or exploit the Service

You must not:

Use the Service for illegal activities
Abuse AI features or bypass usage limits
Attempt to access systems you are not authorized to access

Free and Premium Plans

QuickDef is available in two tiers:

Free — 10 AI definitions per day, save up to 50 words, cloud sync, flashcard review, PDF reader, and unlimited dictionary-mode definitions
Premium — unlimited AI definitions, unlimited saved words, and all free features

Free features are provided without an account in some cases; cloud sync and saved words require account registration. We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits at any time.

Subscriptions and Payments

Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. Pricing is displayed on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

Card payments (USD) are processed by Polar and auto-renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until cancelled.
IDR payments are processed by Xendit as a one-time payment with no automatic renewal. Access is granted for the purchased period.

We do not store your card details. All payment data is handled by the respective payment processor in accordance with their terms and security standards.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel a card-based (USD) subscription:

Open the QuickDef extension and go to Account
Click “Cancel subscription” to open the Polar customer portal
Enter your purchase email — Polar will send a verification code
Once logged in, click Manage Subscription to cancel

You retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period. IDR (one-time) payments are non-recurring and do not require cancellation.

Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the payment method and processor policy. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at dev@inpresencelab.com within 7 days of your purchase and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis.

You use the information at your own discretion.

Intellectual Property

All branding, software, and original content belong to QuickDef / InPresenceLab. You may not copy, distribute, or modify the Service without permission.

Availability

We aim for reliable service, but we do not guarantee:

Continuous availability
Error-free operation
Permanent feature availability

Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law:

QuickDef is provided “as is”
We are not liable for damages resulting from use or inability to use the Service
We are not responsible for content on third-party websites

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

These Terms are violated
The Service is misused
Required by law

You may stop using QuickDef at any time by uninstalling the extension and cancelling any active subscription.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia, where InPresenceLab operates.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use means acceptance of the updated Terms.
